Adventure Daycare Cumberland
Weird Church: Ages 3-5
Our “Cozy Critters” program is designed specifically for children aged 3 to 5, where little adventurers embark on a nature-filled journey of exploration and growth. Nestled within the heart of Cumberland in the Weird Church, our child-centric program places nature at the heart of every experience. Through hands-on activities, unstructured play, and sensory experiences, our goal is to foster a deep appreciation for the environment, while nurturing holistic development that will allow the children to become autonomous, resilient, compassionate, problem-solving individuals.
Cumberland Community School: Ages 0-12
Each program offered in our Cumberland Community School Centre provides a wide range of engaging activities tailored to each age group, with a focus on social development, environmental stewardship, and self empowerment. From nature walks and gardening to animal encounters and nature-based crafts, every experience is designed to spark imagination, curiosity, and a sense of wonder. We create opportunities for children to build strong friendships and develop essential life skills through cooperative games, hands-on activities, and group projects. Children have the freedom to explore, play, and discover at their own pace, fostering a love for the natural environment while developing essential physical and cognitive skills, and becoming proud of the community they live in.
Adventure Daycare Courtenay

This program is designed for children ages 3-5 at our new home on Mansfield Drive in Courtenay, by the Rotary Skypark. Children will experience a wonderful emergent curriculum that will cultivate authentic relationships and connections. To create a sense of belonging among and between children, adults, and the world around them. Relationships are at the core of everything we do.

Adventure Daycare is dedicated to cultivating a sense of care and connection between children and the natural world. We aim to inspire a life-long dedication to environmental stewardship and a sense of community through deep nature connection mentoring.
In our natural and play-based learning environment, our children gain a better understanding of how all of life is connected and experience how our actions influence the world around us. With this understanding, we hope that they will make choices in their daily lives to improve the health of the earth, themselves and each other.
We build on the strengths and interests of each child to help build a solid foundation where they can develop their futures.
