Lunches and snacks are made with love and provided from home. Please keep these things into consideration:

  • No candy, chips or fast food will be allowed.
  • To minimize ecological impact, please recycle food packaging at home. We suggest having things peeled, cut or started as our staff are busy helping other children as well and your child doesn’t fall behind with their lunch. To be more Earth friendly please bring lunches in reusable containers, bento boxes, beeswax wraps – no plastic please.

Your Child's Comfort

Yes, your child can bring his/her favorite blanket to school, however their favorite toy should be left at home to prevent damage or loss of the item. We offer “show and tell” events where children can share items with their classmates.

Yes! All children have their own cubby for their items located in each of the classrooms.

To ensure the children stay healthy, we require that children do not attend school until they are fever-free for 24-hours – this helps keep your child and their classmates healthy.

Safety and Security

#1 priority is the safety of children in our care including monthly fire, earthquake and playground emergency drills.

When severe weather can become a safety concern for the children and staff, Adventure Daycare will mostly base their decision made by School District 71 on whether to remain open or closed. Do check the radio stations or SD71 website. The Program Manager will send out an email notifying all the parents what decision we have made.

Payments

Yes! We are committed to making quality child care accessible to everyone.

We accept most major credit cards, cheques, and e-transfers for payments.
