Your Child's Comfort

Yes, your child can bring his/her favorite blanket to school, however their favorite toy should be left at home to prevent damage or loss of the item.

We offer “show and tell” events where children can share items with their classmates.

Yes! All children have their own cubby for their items located in each of the classrooms.

To ensure the children stay healthy, we require that children not attend school until they are fever-free for 24-hours – this helps keep your child and their classmates healthy.

Equipping your child with the right gear ensures their comfort and safety during outdoor activities.

Here’s what we recommend:

  • Weather-appropriate clothing, including layers, hats, gloves, and sturdy footwear, to stay comfortable in varying conditions.
  • Sunscreen
  • A refillable water bottle
  • A lightweight backpack to carry essentials like water and personal belongings
  • Child-safe insect repellent

Safety and Security

Our #1 priority is the safety of children in our care including monthly fire, earthquake and playground emergency drills.

When severe weather can become a safety concern for the children and staff, Adventure Daycare will mostly base their decision made by School District 71 on whether to remain open or closed.

Do check the radio stations or SD71 website.

The Program Manager will send out an email notifying all the parents what decision we have made.

We are committed to your child’s safety during outdoor activities.

Here’s how we achieve it:

  • We maintain a low child-to-staff ratio to ensure close supervision.
  • Our staff undergo extensive training in outdoor safety and emergency response.
  • Before each outdoor activity, we conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • All outdoor equipment is regularly inspected and maintained to ensure it meets safety standards.
  • Additionally, we have well-defined emergency procedures in place to handle any unforeseen situations effectively.

We understand the importance of keeping parents informed and involved during outdoor adventures.

Before the trip, we provide detailed information to parents, including the location, itinerary, and planned activities.

Parents complete permission forms with emergency contact details, ensuring we have necessary information.
